Many of you might not know your ring size — and of course, we understand that it’s never easy to order a ring online without being able to try it on first. This guide is for anyone looking to order a piece of jewelry, as well as for those planning to surprise a loved one, a partner, or a friend with a special gift.
Don’t panic, here’s our quick and easy guide to help you find your size in just a few minutes!
1. How to measure your ring size?
European ring sizes correspond to your finger’s circumference. A size 52 means your finger measures 5.2 cm around.
⚠️ However, using a measuring tape or a strip of paper is not ideal — they lack precision and require acrobatic dexterity (trust us, we tried). Every millimeter counts!
The most reliable method is, of course, to visit a jeweler. However, we’ve listed 3 METHODS below to help you find your ideal ring size at home:
♥ FAVORITE METHOD:
Try the “RING SIZER” app by Jason Withers*, a clever tool designed to make finding your ring size easy.
This app includes unique features for maximum precision. You can choose between metric or imperial units, and measure by diameter or circumference depending on your needs. Helpful visual guides make the process even more accurate. Find your perfect size in just a few clicks with this intuitive app!
*Find the app on the App Store or on Android.
METHOD #2:
If you own a ring from French houses such as Cartier or Hermès, your size is usually engraved inside the band. Just make sure the finger you wear it on corresponds to the one you want your new ring for.
METHOD #3:
There are adjustable and reusable ring sizers available online, such as this one on Etsy. Simply wrap it around your finger, insert the end into the slot, adjust it to fit comfortably, and note the number indicated — that’s your ring size. On the picture, it’s a size 46.

2. What if you’re between two sizes?
Keep in mind that your fingers can swell with heat, seasons, or even throughout the day.
So, trust how it feels and choose the size that’s most comfortable for you. There should be a slight resistance when removing your ring — that way, it won’t twist or slip off your finger. If you’re unsure, it’s always safer to size up.
Also, one hand (depending on whether you’re right- or left-handed) is usually slightly larger than the other — sometimes by one or two sizes.
3. Choosing your double ring size
