How to know your ring size?

Bague l'Intégrale
Many of you don't know your finger size and we know that it's never easy to order a ring online without being able to try it on.
This article is also for all men who want to give a gift to their partner, do not know their ring size and do not know how to go about it .
Don't panic, here is our little guide to find out which size to choose in a few minutes.

1. How is the ring size calculated?

The ring size corresponds to the circumference, to the perimeter of the finger. It is therefore necessary to be extremely precise when measuring your ring size with a meter or a tape because a few millimeters can change everything (the difference between two sizes is 0.3 mm). So, we arm ourselves with patience and thoroughness so as not to be mistaken!
If you own a ring from French houses like Cartier or Hermès, your size is usually engraved on the inside.

Here are 4 techniques to choose your ideal ring size:

- METHOD N°1:

Calculate the inside diameter of your roundest ring (to avoid distorting the measurement) and refer see the size chart.
On the video, the ring measures 15mm in diameter which is equivalent to a size 50 for example

- METHOD N°2:

You can also have your ring measured at a jeweler who, using a triboulet or a ring sizer, will give you the exact size of your ring.

- METHOD N°3:

Using a strip of paper, measure the perimeter of your finger. Here, the finger size equals 53.

  • Take your ribbon or tape measure
  • Wrap it around your finger loosely
  • Mark the ribbon where it overlaps
  • Measure tape size to get your finger size

If your finger measures 5 cm then you make a 50 in ring size.
The measurement must be precise enough not to be mistaken.

    - METHOD N°4

Measure the perimeter of your roundest ring using a caliper. The caliper is a measuring instrument that allows you to know the circumference of your ring. Then report the measurement in the table of method n°1.

    2. What to do if you are between two sizes?

Keep in mind that fingers can swell with the heat, the seasons and sometimes even during the same day.

To do this, you have to trust your feelings and choose the ring size in which you feel most comfortable. However, there must be a little resistance when you try to remove your jewelry to prevent the ring from turning or falling on the joint. But if in doubt, always choose the larger size.
We usually have a hand (depending on whether we are right-handed or left-handed) which is stronger than the other and which can be one or two sizes apart .

    3. Choose your double ring size:

Falling for a double ring? Our rings are made to be worn on the ring finger and middle finger so as not to hinder any movement of the fingers.
